It seems strange to need a notebook to keep track of your progress in the age of note-taking apps. But there are more reasons than you might think. Notebook apps and apps for tracking habits are easy to use, but they also tempt you to pick up your phone. We don't want that.

A physical connection to your goals

When you track your progress in a notebook, you create a physical connection to your goals. Taking a few minutes each day to write down your thoughts, progress and challenges can be really motivating. The tactile experience of sliding your pen across the paper is not only satisfying, but also gives you a chance to take a break from the constant digital sensory overload.

Peace and concentration

A notebook is always there, without notifications or distractions. It gives you the peace and quiet you need to really focus on what's important. You can get creative, work with colors and sketches, and document your progress in a way that works best for you.

Your personal space

There is also something very personal about keeping a notebook. It's your space to be honest with yourself and find your own path. You'll be surprised how much joy and fulfillment it can bring you when you see how far you've already come.

Give it a go

You don't have to buy a new notebook right away to try it out. Just start with any notepad or a few loose sheets of paper. The important thing is that you take the first step and see how it feels for you. From our experience, however, we can say that sooner or later it's worth investing in a nice notebook. A high-quality notebook like the one linked below can be very motivating and make writing more fun.
